Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry equipment
Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage complex medication regimens
Collaborate with an amazing interdisciplinary team including charge nurses and oncology resource RNs
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units when needed, expanding your skills and connections
Maintain sterile technique during critical procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemo certification is a plus
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass a hands-on skills assessment including sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Sterile field maintenance and infection prevention
Cerner electronic medical records system
Bipap and Cpap ventilator management
Collaborative teamwork with PCTs and specialty resource nurses
