Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, various start times (7a-7p, 7p-7a, etc.), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips (heparin, cardizem, etc.)
Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and educators
Float to med/surg and PCU units within same level of care as needed
Support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent oncology and PCU experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
First-time travelers welcome!
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and management
PCU and med/surg patient care
Titration of drips: insulin, cardizem, heparin
Ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) - training provided
EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
Strong teamwork and communication skills
