Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to neuro post-surgical and stroke patients
Monitor and interpret EKGs while providing expert telemetry oversight
Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical supervisors to ensure seamless patient outcomes
Maintain strict sterile field protocols during procedures and daily care
Educate patients and families on recovery plans after cranial, spine, and TPA procedures

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro/telemetry experience within the last 6 months
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
Willingness to complete a sterile technique exam on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and centralized telemetry monitoring
Neuro-specific care including post-crani, spine, and post-TPA patients
Comfort working with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios
Proficient with 12-hour shifts and every-other-weekend scheduling
Up-to-date sterile field and infection-control best practices
