Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and prioritize care during the overnight period
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Closely monitor vital signs and telemetry, identifying and escalating changes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the chart
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
• Respond promptly to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions
• Provide compassionate patient and family education and discharge instructions
• Promote patient safety and adherence to infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Previous acute care experience preferred; med-surg/telemetry experience a plus
• Ability to work overnight shifts and function independently
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN with relevant experience is accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience
• Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and patient safety focus
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
