Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care within the MST program
- Assess patient condition, implement nursing interventions, and monitor outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care and progress clearly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
- Advocate for patient needs and provide education to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility to obtain one
- Clinical experience as an RN; MST program experience is a strong plus
- Current BLS required; ACLS or other certifications preferred when applicable
- Comfortable working per-diem assignments and adapting quickly to new teams
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mentality
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and triage skills
- Medication administration and IV competency
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Trauma-informed care approach, particularly relevant to MST patients
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy abilities
