Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric population across multiple med-surg and telemetry units
• Float seamlessly within a 60-mile zone covering five facilities, adapting quickly to different unit cultures and patient needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and manage patients with conditions ranging from cardiac and neuro to oncology, ortho, and more
• Titrate heparin drips as required and respond swiftly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including charge nurses and support staff, to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality care

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado or a compact state (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Prior neuro experience is a big plus
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius and work across multiple facilities
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Experience with heparin drip titration and management
• Ability to care for a wide variety of patient populations, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Excellent adaptability, time management, and communication skills
• Familiarity with floating across units and facilities
