Location: Baudette, Minnesota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, adapting quickly to patient needs
Titrate critical medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently during codes and trauma situations
Read telemetry strips, perform EKGs, and monitor patients using Mindray equipment
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent communication with hospitalists
Float between Emergency Department and MedSurg to support the entire facility as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Titrate medications and manage critical drips
Start IVs and work confidently with PICC lines and ports
Participate in codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis events
Respond effectively to trauma situations
Read and interpret telemetry strips and complete EKGs
Navigate Meditech EMR documentation
Adapt quickly between MedSurg and ER environments
