Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to the care team
Document care in the electronic health record clearly and timely
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or eligible for compact licensure
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment, IV/medication administration, and documentation skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in unit-based teamwork

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
Proficiency with electronic health records and charting
Skilled in patient assessment, wound care, and IV management
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Team-oriented approach with a focus on patient safety and outcomes
