Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical pediatric patients
Perform timely assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic record
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
Educate patients and family members on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Participate in orientation and training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred
Experience or training in medical-surgical nursing and pediatric care
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Willingness to complete orientation and required facility onboarding
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet immunization requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); diploma programs considered with RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical nursing principles with pediatric focus
Pediatric assessment and family-centered care techniques
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Infection control and patient safety best practices
Effective teamwork, communication, and time management
