Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while documenting care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor and document patient status, including changes in condition and response to treatments
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion
• Participate in orientation and precepting activities to support new teammates

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (or compact privileges where applicable)
• BLS required; PALS and ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Clinical experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and pediatric patient care
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to changing priorities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
• Familiarity with medication administration, IV therapy, and basic procedures
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong patient/family education and bedside communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
