Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor pediatric and med/surg patients to ensure safe, high-quality care
Administer medications and treatments accurately while observing safety protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow individualized care plans
Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families about conditions and care
Document care, observations, and patient progress thoroughly in the medical record
Participate in unit orientation and training to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact RN licensure
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Experience or interest in Med/Surg and pediatric nursing
Comfort working with children and families in a clinical setting
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Familiarity with pediatric care principles and family-centered care
Proficient documentation skills in electronic medical records
Infection control, safety protocols, and bedside clinical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
