Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients in a dynamic Med/Surg unit
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and support staff
• Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Ensure holistic care addressing physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Lead nursing staff and delegate tasks to meet patient needs effectively
• Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of acute care experience required
• Current Vermont RN licensure or multi-state RN license (compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association required
• Meditech experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Reliable personal transportation required (no public transit in area)

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in the Nursing Process and patient care coordination
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to care for both adult and occasional pediatric patients
• Computer literacy, especially with Meditech EMR
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
