Location: Baudette, Minnesota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (days) or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (nights), every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Admit, discharge, and transfer patients with confidence and compassion
Titrate medications and manage complex drips such as insulin, amiodarone, and levophed
Start IVs and manage PICC/Port access
Participate in code responses for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis emergencies
Respond to traumas and stabilize patients for transport if needed
Float seamlessly between Med Surg and ER units to support the entire department
Read and interpret telemetry strips and EKGs independently
Collaborate with a small team of RNs and CNAs in a close-knit environment

Qualifications

Must have Emergency Department experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
Comfortable working independently with minimal staff
Strong communication skills to coordinate with hospitalists and flight transport
Adaptable and quick-learning, orientation typically one week

Knowledge & Skills

IV start and titration of medications
PICC/Port access and management
Code management and trauma response
Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Meditech EMR proficiency
Familiarity with BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and Hamilton T1 vent (transport-level care)
