Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with every third weekend requirement

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse Med Surg Ortho patient population
Manage total joint replacements, fractures, COPD, diabetes, wounds, and more with confidence
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver excellent outcomes
Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports to keep patients and families informed
Float to PCU and behavioral health units when needed, showcasing your adaptability
Administer medications and drips including Heparin, IV antibiotics, and narcotics safely

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
Current BLS certification required
Minimum one year of recent Med Surg or Ortho experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90 percent or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfort with self-directed work and change
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to float between units as needed
