Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to adult and pediatric patients (age 15+) in a 34-bed Med Surg ICU
• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics with confidence
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and advanced hemodynamics (CVP, arterial lines, Swans, EV-1000)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including attendings, fellows, and residents
• Respond to rapid response and codes, supporting charge nurse duties as needed
• Float to inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry and titrate drips
• Driver's license and ability to meet 50-mile radius rule (no local candidates from CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care: sepsis, ARDS, MODS, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and post-surgical management
• Proficiency with ventilators, BiPap, high-flow oxygen, and rapid transfusion devices
• Experience with neuro surgery, CRRT, ICP monitoring, and cardiac devices (impella, balloon pump) preferred but not required
• Strong critical thinking, positive attitude, and willingness to ask questions and help others
