Location: Kearney, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, minimum 2 holidays per contract

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse ICU patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory distress cases
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate cardiac drips, sedation, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT, nurse aides, and healthcare support techs
Float to PCU or MedSurg when needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in Pass/Fail orientation exam using open-book resources to ensure competency

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required for proof of residency outside 50-mile radius
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing, including ventilator management and titrating drips
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Strong critical thinking and ability to respond quickly to call-backs within 30 minutes
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
