Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling for core staff

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in our 33-bed ICU
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and hemodynamic data
Titrate drips including cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Manage ventilators and respiratory equipment for patients requiring advanced support
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust treatment plans
Perform patient assessments, document progress, and communicate with families

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% required)
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing skills including ventilator management and drip titration
Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Knowledge of common ICU diagnoses: trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, respiratory distress
Ability to float to PCU or MedSurg as needed
