Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients
• Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision
• Interpret and document cardiac telemetry strips using GE monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and nurse aides
• Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
• Participate in orientation and pass an open-book skills exam to ensure competence

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience preferred
• Driver's license required to verify distance from facility
• Comfortable with artificial nail policy (no artificial nails allowed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in caring for ventilated patients, CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen
• Strong assessment skills for sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker, and vascular cases
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms and strips
• Proficiency in titrating multiple drips simultaneously
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
