Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required, minimum 2 holidays per contract

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips as ordered
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech oversight
Ventilator management from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
Driver's license required at submittal; must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with 90% or higher
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating multiple drips (cardiac, insulin, sedation)
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Strong critical thinking and prioritization in a fast-paced ICU setting
Comfortable with ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
