Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule determined by leadership, rotating weekends (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population in MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU settings
Titrate and manage critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Interpret telemetry and manage respiratory needs including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
Float across multiple ICUs and acuity levels within Zone 1, including PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele as needed
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to different unit environments and maintain high-quality care standards

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years for first-time travelers)
Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
Comfortable titrating all critical drips and interpreting telemetry
Prior travel experience preferred but not required
Must be flexible to float within a 60-mile zone around Colorado Springs

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing and intensive care unit best practices
Advanced cardiac life support and neurological assessment
Respiratory management including mechanical ventilation
Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Epic documentation and charting
Strong communication and adaptability in a float pool environment
