Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, including every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU
Monitor and manage ventilators, bipap, and titratable drips including vasopressors and sedatives
Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) when not needed in the ICU
Perform thorough assessments and respond to emergencies such as stroke, MI, and sepsis

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (driver's license required at submittal)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with drips, vents, and bipap
Previous travel experience preferred
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titration of vasopressors and sedatives
Ventilator management and troubleshooting
Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
