Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with variable end times, block scheduling arranged with manager, includes call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons as the first assistant during complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties
Provide expert support during orthopedic, robotic, neurosurgical, gynecological, and vascular cases
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float between campuses as needed to support surgical services
Maintain sterile technique and support all aspects of the surgical procedure
Respond to call within 30 minutes when scheduled

Qualifications

Active RN license with RNFA certification required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
Robotics experience is essential for this role
Ability to scrub and first assist in the operating room
Comfortable floating between campuses as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of surgical procedures across ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, and vascular specialties
Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
Strong understanding of DaVinci robotic systems
Ability to handle call responsibilities and respond within 30 minutes
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced OR environment
