Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across the age spectrum
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely and according to protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
• Respond quickly and effectively to codes, emergencies, and rapid changes in condition
• Maintain infection control practices and promote patient and staff safety

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Previous Emergency Room nursing experience preferred (per-diem roles welcome to apply)
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills — you think fast and act faster
• Proficient with medication administration, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
• Ability to document clearly and efficiently in electronic medical records
• Skilled at crisis management, de-escalation, and working under pressure
• Familiarity with infection control, patient safety standards, and ED workflows
