Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to emergency patients
• Perform rapid triage and prioritized assessment in a fast-paced ER
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of California (required)
• Experience working in an Emergency Room or acute care setting (preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment techniques
• Acute care interventions and medication administration
• Familiarity with common ER equipment and monitoring
• Proficient documentation in electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations
• Strong teamwork, time management, and crisis communication skills
