Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the emergency setting
- Provide hands-on nursing care including IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement timely treatment plans
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and professionally
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
- Contribute to a positive team culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
- Emergency Room experience preferred
- Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Education
- Active RN license required
- ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency assessment and rapid triage skills
- IV placement and medication administration competency
- Basic and advanced cardiac life support knowledge
- Effective clinical documentation and time management
- Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
