Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, schedule determined by leadership; every other weekend and holiday required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple facilities within Zone 4
Float between three hospitals in the Garden City area, ensuring continuity of care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients with conditions ranging from abdominal pain to trauma and stroke
Perform point-of-care lab testing and interpret telemetry strips
Adhere to ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC protocols

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Kansas
Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius zone
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including triage, IV insertion, and cardiac monitoring
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Knowledge of standard ER medications and drips
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to different facility environments
