Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 5x8 or 4x10 shifts, to be discussed; plus weekly weeknight call and weekend call every 3 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform circulating and tech roles for advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, enteroscopy, and endolumenal surgery
Set up and operate specialized equipment such as ultrasound processors, electrocautery devices, and balloon catheters
Assist physicians with fine needle aspiration, stent deployment, and endoscopic suturing
Ensure high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex scopes per SGNA and manufacturer standards
Manage patient care during procedures, maintaining safety and comfort
Participate in on-call rotation for weeknights and weekends

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in endoscopy or GI lab preferred
Strong circulating and teching skills for advanced GI procedures
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Willingness to pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, enteroscopy, and endolumenal surgery equipment and techniques
Knowledge of sterile processing and high-level disinfection for endoscopes
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural area
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
