Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varies; 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holiday rotation required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients with diverse conditions including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, and trauma
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat patients
Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 based on acuity
Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and charting
Perform triage, monitor telemetry, and respond to emergent situations
Supervise and delegate tasks to ED techs and CNAs

Qualifications

Active Washington or Compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of experience in a larger trauma setting
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Epic EMR
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ED (170-200 patients per day)
Experience with cardiac, stroke, sepsis, respiratory, and mental health patients
Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
