Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts available (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM), every other weekend, holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ER setting
Collaborate with physicians, midlevels, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes for trauma, stroke, abdominal pain, orthopedic, and pediatric patients
Manage 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio typical, adjusting per acuity
Utilize Cerner FirstNet EMR for accurate documentation and streamlined workflows
Act as charge nurse as needed, balancing patient care with team coordination

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in California
Minimum 3-5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Level III trauma experience or above strongly preferred
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Proficiency with Cerner (FirstNet) EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expert emergency nursing skills with ability to handle high-acuity patients
Strong trauma assessment and intervention skills
Comfortable caring for pediatric patients (500-600 per month)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Quick decision-making and adaptability in a dynamic environment
