Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to trauma
• Rapidly assess and triage patients in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage critical drips including pressors and sedation
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform dysrhythmia management independently
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to deliver top-notch care
• Care for a diverse patient population including STEMIs, strokes, trauma, and general emergencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83% or higher) before starting assignment
• Comfortable with ventilator management and troubleshooting respiratory equipment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Proficiency in managing ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Experience with common ER procedures: wound care, splinting, conscious sedation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
