Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Triage patients efficiently, prioritizing care based on acuity
Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments as ordered
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding to changes promptly
Assist with trauma resuscitations and critical interventions
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and the healthcare team to deliver optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in a similar volume and trauma level facility
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Advanced Dysrhythmia exam must be passed (83%) before starting assignment
Ability to float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing and trauma care
Proficiency in advanced cardiac life support and dysrhythmia interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
