Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Various 12-hour shifts including days (7a-7:30p, 9a-9:30p), mids (10a-10:30p, 11a-11:30p, 1p-1:30a, 3p-3:30a), and nights (7p-7:30a). Self-scheduling, 36 hours per week.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of medical emergencies
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED techs, midlevel providers, and physicians
Maintain patient safety and adhere to protocols
Document care accurately in Cerner EMR
Participate in self-scheduling and maintain teamwork-oriented approach

Qualifications

Active RN license in California - we need you ready to go
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of ED experience preferred
Must be able to work 36 hours per week and commit to this as primary job
Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing skills including triage, trauma, and cardiac care
Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Ability to handle high-volume environment with up to 115 patients per day
Knowledge of Phillips telemetry and ventilator management
Comfortable floating between two campuses just 6.5 miles apart
