Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in a 24-bed CTICU/CVICU, including post-operative cardiac surgery recovery and management of advanced hemodynamic support devices.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and hemodynamic data, responding swiftly to changes in patient condition.
• Assist with bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, Swan-Ganz catheter insertions, and epidural management.
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and other team members to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring continuity of care across the facility.
• Participate in daily rounds and contribute to evidence-based care plans.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience, with CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Level I trauma experience required
• Strong IV skills and ability to start and manage IV lines
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings; clean shave required for fit test

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Cerner EMR
• Expertise with Phillips telemetry monitoring
• Experience managing IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and ventilators
• Knowledge of sterile technique and central line dressing changes
• Ability to perform Foley catheter insertion and maintain sterile field
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-acuity settings
