Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (day) or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (night), with weekend rotation of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and holiday availability as needed.

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient bed placement across up to 3 hospitals with 500-1000 beds using TeleTracking and Cerner
• Communicate with charge nurses and leadership to ensure appropriate unit assignments based on patient condition
• Apply critical thinking to assess bed requests and escalate discrepancies when orders don't match patient needs
• Manage multiple computer screens and applications (TeleTrac, Cerner, Google apps) to optimize patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation of bed assignments and patient placements
• Collaborate with ED, leadership, and other departments to facilitate efficient admissions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (no other certifications required)
• Recent acute care experience - at least 1 year preferred; 2 years strongly preferred; SNF experience not accepted if recent
• Must have experience with TeleTracking and Cerner EMR
• Strong computer skills including Zoom, Google applications, and multitasking
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Must be able to identify different hospital units (MedSurg, Tele, etc.)
• Ability to pass the Relias Dys exam within 12 months of start (two attempts allowed)

• Critical thinking and problem-solving for bed placement decisions
• Effective communication with clinical staff and leadership
• Time management and organization in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with bed management systems like TeleTracking
• Adaptability to work with multiple software tools simultaneously
• Understanding of patient placement protocols and unit capabilities
