Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
Position patients accurately and ensure proper immobilization for treatment
Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions
Collaborate with the oncology team to optimize treatment plans
Document treatment sessions and maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
Nebraska state license as a Radiation Therapist
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
Strong attention to detail and patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in operating linear accelerators and CT simulators
Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
