Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and compassionately to support patient care
Position patients and equipment correctly to capture high-quality images
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain patient and staff safety at all times
Work with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure images meet diagnostic needs
Maintain clear, timely documentation and assist with image archiving (PACS)
Provide patient education and deliver professional, empathetic care

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiography (or registry-eligible) preferred
State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (Louisiana licensure recommended)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Strong patient-care skills with professional communication and teamwork
Prior experience in an acute care or hospital radiology setting is a plus

Education

Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with diagnostic radiographic procedures and patient positioning
Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control standards
Ability to operate radiology equipment and troubleshoot basic technical issues
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing diagnostic-quality images
