Roles & Responsibilities

Receive specimens from phlebotomists and couriers to keep testing flowing smoothly
Drive the mobile lab van to high-volume STAT testing areas when needed
Enter patient data and test orders accurately into the lab system
Perform quality control checks before running tests and report issues promptly
Conduct point-of-care lab testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, molecular, and coagulation
Collect blood via venipuncture and capillary methods
Monitor STAT board to hit turnaround time goals consistently
Maintain inventory, troubleshoot issues, and perform instrument maintenance
Ensure safety protocols and specimen integrity every step of the way

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with good record required - you'll pick up the van each shift
LVN, MLT, or CLS license for California waived testing
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy and lab testing experience preferred
COVID-19 vaccination required

Education

High school degree or equivalent
State of California: Licensed Medical Laboratory Technician or Licensed Vocational Nurse

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with lab processes and workflows
Excellent verbal and written communication
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Accuracy and precision in tasks
Ability to troubleshoot client, instrument, and computer issues
