Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours

Roles & Responsibilities

Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders
Administer various procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record
Document all regulatory and clinically required information accurately in the electronic documentation system
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required trainings
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts required
Minimum 1 year of PTA experience preferred; new graduates with Level II clinical experience considered
Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
Skills checklist within 1 year and 0-1 reference at time of submission required

Knowledge & Skills

Physical Therapy and rehabilitation principles
Patient care and documentation
Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team
Use of supportive and assistive devices
Understanding of regulatory and clinical practice requirements
