Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, plus rotating weekends (2 weekends per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients in a Level III trauma center
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTAs and rehab techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage a caseload of 1 evaluation per hour or 10 treatments per 8-hour shift
Precept new staff as needed to support team development
Document patient progress in Meditech EMR with accuracy and timeliness
Alternate holidays and cover 2 full weekends per month with comp days

Qualifications

Active Texas Physical Therapy license in good standing
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Meditech or similar EMR systems
Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
Experience with ortho, neuro, surgical, critical care, and oncology patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
