Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy evaluations and interventions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document therapy sessions, patient progress, and discharge plans clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and equipment use
• Use clinical reasoning to modify interventions and ensure safe, effective care

Qualifications

• Current or eligible California Occupational Therapist license (state licensure required prior to practice)
• Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in occupational therapy; at least 1 year preferred
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field (or entry-level OTD as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessment and activity analysis
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and ADL training
• Proficient documentation and time management skills
• Ability to teach patients and caregivers in plain, practical terms
• Comfortable working in varied settings and adapting to changing caseloads
