Roles & Responsibilities

Provide diagnostic evaluations and personalized treatment to help patients achieve their maximum potential
Design and administer innovative treatment programs using therapeutic exercises to boost strength, range of motion, and coordination
Instruct patients in adaptive techniques and equipment for daily self-care skills like dressing and meal prep
Conduct home assessments and create tailored home programs for lasting independence
Deliver sensor-motor integration therapy and visual perceptual-motor remediation to enhance developmental levels
Offer prevention therapy on energy conservation, joint protection, and safety techniques
Administer prevocational programs to prepare patients for work with assessments of organizational and cognitive skills

Qualifications

Current valid WA state Occupational Therapist license (or in the process of obtaining)
Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy
One year of experience preferred but new grads welcome

Education

Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong language skills to read, analyze, and present information effectively
Mathematical aptitude for probability, statistics, fractions, and proportions
Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions
Expertise in diagnostic evaluations, treatment programs, patient records, therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, home assessments, and sensor-motor integration
