Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-16-2026
End Date: 09-15-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts (exact start time may vary), Monday-Friday, with rotating call after 4:30 PM on weekdays; rotating weekend and holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Operate and maintain GE nuclear medicine equipment
- Start IVs as needed (though not typically required)
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification
- Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in cardiac imaging, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
- Knowledge of Radnet and Merge Unity systems
- Experience with GE equipment
- Strong patient care and communication skills
