Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric cases
• Perform central line placement, chest tube management, and rapid transfusion protocols
• Manage critical drips such as propofol, levophed, cardene, and sedation agents
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, mid-levels, and techs to stabilize and treat patients
• Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed to support patient care
• Participate in trauma activations and codes, ensuring efficient and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a similar volume and trauma-level facility
• Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before contract start
• Comfortable with high-acuity patients, central lines, MTP, chest tubes, and stroke care
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to float between campuses and adapt to fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in central line placement, MTP, chest tubes, and trauma care
• Proficient in STEMI and stroke recognition and management
• Skilled in administering and monitoring common drips like nitroglycerin, propofol, and levophed
• Experience with PulseCheck or Picis EMR
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a Level III trauma center
