Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams using CT and X-ray equipment
• Prepare and administer contrast media and perform IV contrast injections following protocols
• Ensure patient safety and comfort: position patients correctly, explain procedures, and monitor during imaging
• Maintain strict radiation safety and quality control standards in all imaging procedures
• Document procedures accurately and maintain equipment, supplies, and patient rooms ready for imaging
• Follow ARRT Standards of Ethics and adhere to departmental policies and Enloe Medical Center values
• Collaborate with radiology team members and other clinical staff to support exceptional patient care
• Contribute to service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) — required
• Approved CPR certification — required
• ARRT certification and Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire (per job posting)
• Preferred: Two years diagnostic x-ray experience and one year CT experience
• Preferred: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification and advanced CT certification
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Education

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the State of California
• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program (preferred/typical)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and human structure & function
• Proficient in patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure
• Experience with CT imaging protocols, intravenous contrast administration, and X-ray operation
• Understanding of quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
• Attention to detail, strong clinical judgement, and ability to work independently when needed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and care teams
