Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered personal care and support
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and consistently
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Document care delivered promptly and clearly in the patient record
• Support safe transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Valid state authorization to practice in California preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable with overnight shifts and working independently
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Prior experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Teamwork, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes
