Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control practices
Build rapport with patients and families to support comfort and emotional needs

Qualifications

Current CNA certification required (state-appropriate credential)
Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — team players shine here
Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for the duration of an 8-hour shift

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
Vital signs measurement and basic patient observation
Infection prevention and proper use of PPE
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical staff
