Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and fall-prevention practices during transfers
Assist with hygiene, feeding, and toileting needs with dignity and respect
Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s records
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) — must be in good standing
Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working with adults in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Familiarity with charting and patient documentation best practices
Good observational skills to notice and escalate changes in patient status
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
