Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Deliver attentive bedside care while preserving patient dignity and comfort
- Accurately document care, communicate with colleagues, and contribute to smooth handoffs
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (California preferred)
- Demonstrated bedside patient care skills and comfort working overnight
- Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and safety-focused techniques
- Basic clinical observations: vital signs, intake/output, skin assessments
- Patient mobility and safe transfer methods
- Clear documentation and effective communication with nursing staff
- Infection prevention, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
