Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to acute patients
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the clinical team
Support admissions, discharges, and timely patient turnover
Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow unit protocols
Adhere to infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Active authorization to work in Hawaii (state licensure or registration as required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required by facility
Previous acute care experience preferred
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills in an acute care setting
Accurate vital signs measurement and patient observation
Comfortable assisting with mobility and safe patient handling
Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
Basic computer/EHR documentation skills
Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced unit
