Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Support mobility and safe transfers, helping reduce fall risk and promote independence
Take and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team promptly
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Document resident care accurately and clearly in the patient chart
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut (required)
CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Comfort with hands-on resident care and basic mobility assistance

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and basic resident care
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safe transfer techniques
Strong communication and documentation skills
Dependability, attention to detail, and compassionate bedside manner
